Two rather compact Peterson in their cases. Nevertheless they are as large as a Dunhill's group 4.

Both pipes are from the same year: the band is sterling silver with Dublin Ireland hallmarks for 1901. Date letter F (see chart here)

The original mouthpieces are examples of amber hand carved into a P-lip.

As to the briar model, the right side of the shank is stamped with the name of the retail store (rare on Peterson's pipes): Watts, in Liverpool.
The inside of the case is labeled with the same tobacconist's name

The piece below is an excellent example of how a meerschaum colors, beginning at the shank and moving gradually up the bowl. (an other superb example here)
